What the Black Culture Games app and website collect, and why.
What the app collects
The game itself works offline and has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics. Nothing leaves your phone unless you send us feedback.
- Player names. The names you type for a game are saved only on your phone so you can resume a game. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
- Game progress. Scores and the current card are saved only on your phone for the same reason.
Feedback you send us
If you tap Send feedback in the app and press send, we receive:
- The note you type, and your email address if you choose to add one so we can reply.
- Any pictures, screenshots, or screen recordings you choose to attach. Only the files you pick are sent.
- Your phone model and system version, the app version, and which screen you were on, so we can find the bug.
Feedback is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and emailed to our team. We use it only to fix problems and improve the game, and we don't share it with anyone else. To have your feedback deleted, email [email protected].
Playing on everyone's phones
When you start or join a game room, we receive the name you type for the game and the answers you pick, so every phone in the room sees the same game. A room code and a random key are saved on your phone so you can rejoin if you lose signal. Rooms are stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and are deleted automatically 6 hours after the last move. We don't use room data for anything else, and we don't share it.
What we don't collect
- We don't require an account, an email address, or a phone number to play.
- We don't access your contacts, camera, microphone, or location, and we only see photos or videos you choose to attach to feedback.
- We don't sell your information.
Purchases
Unlocking the full game is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play (or Apple on iPhone). We never see your payment card details. The app asks the store only whether this account has unlocked the game.
Changes
If a future version adds online play or usage statistics, we will update this page before that version is released and change the date above.
Children
The app is meant for families, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
